Connor Contracting, Inc. redeveloped the underutilized property located at 575 Stone Cutters Way in Montpelier, Vermont. This project included the removal & disposal of a condemned building shell, installation of new utilities and construction of a two-story, 20,000 square foot office building.

The wood-framed building was designed to complement the riverfront district and the surrounding neighborhood. It is constructed with energy-efficient, durable materials, including Marvin windows, aluminum exterior doors, high-R wall & roof insulation systems, and finished with cement siding & trim.

The property is fully accessible, with 53 off-street parking spaces and 36 on-street parking spaces along Stone Cutters Way. There is direct access to the City of Montpelier’s Turn-Table Park, the Montpelier Recreation Path, downtown shopping, and local attractions.

One tenant is The Vermont State Colleges, Office of the Chancellor. Their space has been finished to include large training and meeting rooms with kitchen access, offices for their finance department and administration as well as a fully equipped gym with shower facilities. The remaining space is currently being leased to The Nature Conservancy. These offices feature a large, central conference room, kitchen, private offices and a custom wall of finished Vermont hardwoods in the entrance.
